A calm bay nested in a precious natural habitat, pristine and crystal clear beaches, majestic rocks sculpted by the wind, blooming gardens, picturesque stairways, little squares in a world just waiting to be explored. This is Porto Rotondo…and so much more.
It was founded in 1969 by two venetian noble brothers who fell in love with the wild beauty of the place and decided to create a harbour and a village in this location. The image that they had in mind was a hub for culture, intellect and art. The urban planning of Porto Rotondo is nostalgically inspired by Venice: the houses and hidden flowered terraces look onto narrow and picturesque alleyways and beautiful little piazzas.
Porto Rotondo is a magical place suitable for everyone, which fascinates and marvels all year around; explore it as you wish, on foot, by bike, by boat, between a delicious gelato on the harbourside, a cocktail at sunset and a delicious dinner of local delicacies.
The possibilities are endless and here on Visit Porto Rotondo we wish to hand you all the information to make your stay in this marvellous sardinian village a memorable one.
